Landrieu tries to save face in New Roads

Today, Senator Landrieu is visiting the New Roads coal power plant  to rail against President Obama’s new EPA regulations and try to save face as her heated Senate race hangs in the balance. RNC spokesman Ben Voelkel had this to say:

“Mary Landrieu can claim to be outraged by the new EPA regulations, but where was her outrage when she voted to confirm the EPA administrator that’s implementing them? The regulations rolled out by the Landrieu-backed EPA head will raise electricity costs, hurting families and the Louisiana energy industry. Landrieu continues to be a rubber stamp for President Obama’s liberal agenda, and as a result her time as energy chair has been marked by her failure to get the Keystone Pipeline approved and inability to stop these harmful regulations.” – RNC spokesman Ben Voelkel
