ICYMI: Despite low coal use, La. must reduce CO2 by 40%

This morning's Advocate highlighted another battle in the war on Louisiana's vital energy industry. The EPA, led by Landrieu-backed administrator Gina McCarthy (who admitted this weekend she’s ‘waging a war on coal’), is disproportionally going after Louisiana’s energy industry.  As the article notes, “neither state regulators nor the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency can provide a clear reason for why Louisiana’s reduction is so large.”

“The fact that Landrieu can’t even get the EPA administrator she voted for to give Louisiana a fair shake is a pretty damning indictment of the lack of influence she actually wields in the Senate.  This is just another example of how Landrieu’s support for Obama and Washington special interests helps Landrieu’s liberal buddies but hurts Louisianans.” – Ben Voelkel, RNC spokesman
