ICYMI: Landrieu now America's 'indispensible' Senator
Mary Landrieu took to the friendly MSNBC airwaves this morning and doubled down on her claim of being “indispensible” to Louisiana, going as far as to say it would “not be good for the country” if she lost this fall.
This sort of rhetorical Hail Mary isn’t much of a surprise from someone struggling to gain traction in the polls. But it does demonstrate the disconnect necessary for Landrieu to claim she reflects’ Louisiana values while voting with President Obama 97 percent of the time.
Landrieu should be reminded of old observation that graveyards are full of indispensible people. Given her failure to make the Keystone Pipeline a reality despite being Barack Obama’s energy committee chair, Landrieu’s political career could find itself six feet under this fall.
