Landrieu fails 2014 Keystone test
The news that legislation to advance the Keystone Pipeline is likely dead for the rest of the year was yet another blow to Mary Landrieu’s re-election campaign and her claim to being ‘indispensible’ to Louisiana. If Landrieu can’t advance policies like Keystone even as Barack Obama’s energy chair, it’s little wonder why 59 percent of Louisiana voters would rather have someone else in the Senate.
“Harry Reid, President Obama and radical liberal billionaire Tom Steyer are setting the Senate’s energy agenda, not their energy chair pawn Mary Landrieu. Senator Landrieu’s latest failure to deliver on Keystone demonstrates that the only way for America to advance a common-sense energy agenda is to elect a Republican Senate Majority. That starts in Louisiana by defeating Obama rubber stamp Mary Landrieu.” – Ben Voelkel, RNC spokesman
